The crown prince of Udaipur, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, is recognised for his enormous collection of pricey cars in addition to his lavish lifestyle, which often makes headlines. As seen by his vast automobile collection, which includes some of the most expensive cars in the world, such as the Rolls Royce, as well as vintage vehicles from the colonial era, the Prince of Udaipur not only enjoys the newest luxury cars but also is passionate about vintage vehicles.
In addition to his love for luxury vehicles built abroad, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar has a soft spot for cars made in India, namely the Mahindra Thar SUV. The Mahindra Thar 700, an SUV that retailed for Rs 9.99 lakh when it was first introduced in 2019, captured the heart of the royal scion.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra himself gave the prince the keys to the limited edition, Thar SUV. The Mahindra Thar 700 was introduced by the company on June 17, 2019. As per reports, Mahindra & Mahindra, the top SUV manufacturer in India, only produced 700 vehicles of the version.
In addition to his vast collection of cars, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar is an avid motorcycle enthusiast. In September, he became the first owner of the BSA Gold Star 650. With 45.6 horsepower and an amazing 55 Nm of torque, the cruiser motorcycle is priced between Rs 3.02 lakh and Rs 3.37 lakh in India. A dual-channel ABS on the BSA Gold Star 650 gives the rider outstanding control over a variety of terrains. It comes in six different colour variations.
The Udaipur Royals’ Feud
Even though Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar is crowned the ‘Prince of Udaipur,’ the conflict over who should be the legitimate heir to the royal throne often makes news for Maharana Pratap’s lineage.
About 40 years ago, Lakshyaraj’s grandfather, the late Maharana Bhagwant Singh, selected his younger son, Arvind Singh, as the only executor of the properties in his will, disowning his elder son, Mahendra Singh. As a result, there is a fierce disagreement among the royals on the legitimate heir to the Udaipur throne.
The conflict was rekindled and demonstrations were sparked when Vishvaraj Singh, the son of Mahendra Singh, was appointed head of Chittorgarh fort on November 25. According to many reports, the Mewars of Rajasthan are believed to have a net worth of approximately Rs 10,000 crore.
