Ganji Chudail, an animated character whose name loosely translates to “bald witch” in English, has become a social media sensation, and now major brands are collaborating to promote their products. Now, the Internet icon is undergoing a makeover with a unique twist. In YouTube India’s latest comedy video, Neena Gupta brings the animated character to life, giving it an unexpected glow-up. The transformation left social media users surprised, with many expressing their love for the new look and applauding Neena’s portrayal of the viral character.
The video, shared on YouTube India’s Instagram page, begins with beauty and lifestyle influencers ShivShakti Sachdev, Ishita Mangal, and Sakshi Sidwani tied together. A voiceover sets the stage: “Ek baar teen YouTubers ko kidnap kar leti hai, Ganji Chudail (Once three YouTubers were kidnapped by Ganji Chudail).” Enter Neena Gupta, transformed into the iconic “Ganji Chudail”, who declares, “Thak gayi hoon meme banke, ab tum teeno mujhe babe banaoge (I’m weary of being a meme. Now, you three are going to make me a babe.)” She hilariously threatens to erase their social media accounts if they refuse to comply. Reluctantly, the trio agrees to help Ganji Chudail with a Gen-Z makeover.
The three influencers are then freed and immediately set to work on giving Ganji Chudail a glam makeover. Initially, they struggle to find the right foundation to match Chudail’s complexion, pointing out the beauty industry’s lack of inclusivity. After some trial and error, they finally settle on a green foundation that works perfectly. Following YouTube tutorials, the trio dives into the makeover process, giving Ganji Chudail a hair spa, a smoky eye look, and a blingy outfit. The final reveal is nothing short of spectacular, as Ganji Chudail transforms into a stunning, edgy Gen-Z diva.
