A bone-chilling event recently transpired in a wedding procession in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. In a video making rounds on the internet, a man was captured continuously bursting firecrackers while emerging through the sunroof of a car. The crazy scenes shocked many onlookers, with loud booms of crackers echoing from every corner of the neighbourhood. The man appeared to be in no mood to stop. He kept on shooting rockets from the car featuring flowers and other wedding decorations. The man was using a gun to shoot the firecrackers and somehow, the device caught fire. It led to some crackers exploding in his hand, with sparks falling on the vehicle.
The wedding group perhaps had more firecrackers in store, which were kept in a bag. More drama unfolded when the entire stock burst into flames. In the viral video, two men were captured quickly coming out of the car which was filled with smoke and fire. Passersby rushed to the vehicle to offer help as they assumed more people were trapped inside the four-wheeler.

Details of the incident were shared on X and according to the post, two men were injured due to the reckless act. “Instead of lighting the crackers safely on an open road, two youngsters burst them from the sunroof of their car. This set the car on fire after sparks from the crackers fell on the vehicle, fuming the boxes of firecrackers inside,” it added.
As per the Free Press Journal, the shocking visuals were captured from the wedding ‘baraat’ of a resident of Gandevda village. The procession was destined for Dehradun but the celebrations took an unexpected turn due to the firecracker incident.
Those who were injured were ultimately rescued by the groom’s brother Javed and were rushed to a safer place for medical treatment. The car was almost destroyed and was later seized by the local police, the report claimed. They also imposed a fine on the youngsters who were responsible for the accident.
A similar incident occurred in Chandigarh last month when people were seen shooting firecrackers from the roof of a private car. Many videos featuring such dangerous acts surfaced on the internet during Diwali as well.
