Darshan Magdum, who has gained significant attention on social media for his viral covers of popular English tracks, recently witnessed an “unreal” moment at Maroon 5’s Mumbai concert.
Adam Levine, the frontman of American pop band, surprised the viral sensation with a special shoutout at their concert in India’s financial capital on December 3, promising him a chance to perform on stage whenever they perform in India next time.
Levine addressed Magdum in the crowd and publicly recognised him. “We have seen you on the internet singing our songs… we love you. Next time we are back here, Darshan is going to join us on stage to sing a song,” Levine said.
He went on to add that he does not wish to put any pressure on Darshan right now to perform on stage. “But thanks for coming to the show,” he added.
An elated Darshan later posted the video of the interaction on Instagram and wrote, “This was unreal! I can’t process it”.
The video soon went viral and amassed over 10 million views on the platform within a matter of a few hours and received more than 1 million likes.
In the comments section, several people lauded Adam Levine and said they were thrilled to see him recognise Darshan Magdum, who has over 4.28 lakh followers on Instagram.
“He has got global recognition,” one person wrote, while another one added, “bro’s living his dream.”
Another user quipped, “We are going to get a Darshan x Maroon 5 collab before GTA 6″.
Spotify India also took note of the viral post and said, “Maroon 5 said they wanted a Mumbai Darshan, and they got one!”
Internet sensation Yashraj Mukhate also commented with fire and raising hand emojis.
Swiggy Instamart added, “Ek baar sugar gaa do darshan king”.
Meanwhile, Darshan Magdum was not the only person to have a dream come true moment at the concert as Levine also made another fan’s day unforgettable, inviting her on stage and giving her a hug.
