Awan’s status will be equivalent to a government serve
ISLAMABAD: Prominent legal counselor Mansoor Usman Awan has been delegated as the new Principal legal officer for Pakistan (AGP) on Monday.
President Arif Alvi designated Awan to the sought after post subsequent to tolerating lawyer Shehzad Ata Elahi’s renunciation, who left the post after under two months in office.
The arrangement was supported by the president under Article 100 of the Constitution, an assertion from the Aiwan-e-Sadar said, adding that his status will be equivalent to a government serve.
Elahi was picked for the sought after post after Awan last year declined to turn into the principal legal officer as — regardless of the president supporting his arrangement — he was not authoritatively advised
The public authority then, at that point, confronted shame from the legal executive for not filling this significant protected post after ex-AGP Ashtar Ausaf offered his acquiescence in October last year.
Awan holds an Expert of Regulations (LLM) degree from Harvard Graduate school, USA, and a Lone ranger of Regulations (LLB) degree from the College of Punjab where he stood first. He was granted the Equity M Jan Dedication gold decoration for getting first situation in statute and Charles Duke Bevan Petman Regulation Award for first situation in criminal regulation.
Awan is a beneficiary of the Harvard Graduate school Dignitary’s Honor for Initiative (2005). At Harvard Regulation, he was chosen as the LLM Delegate to Harvard Graduate school Chamber and he likewise filled in as the VP of the Harvard Graduate Board.
