Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos’ fiancée, has fueled speculations after posting a series of Instagram photos in which she posed as Catwoman. In the post, which she captioned “Fall photo dump,” Sanchez posed in a skin-tight dominatrix Catwoman outfit with a whip and a cat mask. Nonetheless, what created a stir on social media was a cropped-out figure near her believed to be Bezos in a Batman costume.
Sanchez took to Instagram and said in her caption, “Grateful for all the memories this season brought” which included photos depicting different moments of her fall. Among them was a sweet picture of her kissing Bezos on the cheek. This contrasts with the provocative Catwoman picture. Users speculated Sanchez could adopt the last name Bezos following their wedding because she was wearing a diamond necklace with a “B” pendant in the Halloween picture.
This gave way to lighthearted banter on social media, with people suggesting various interpretations for cropping out one of the richest men in the world from her picture. An X user shared the screenshot of Sanchez’s post on the microblogging platform, stating: “Imagine how powerful it feels to crop Jeff Bezos out of your Instagram carousel.”
Bezos and Sanchez are reported to head for a Christmas wedding set for Aspen, Colorado. The couple, who went public in January 2019, got engaged in May 2023 when Bezos proposed to her with a $2.5 million (Rs 21.1 crore) pink diamond engagement ring on a yacht in the South of France.
The US Sun reports that high-profile Hollywood celebrities are anticipated to attend their soon-to-be wedding, which is also anticipated to be a star-studded affair. According to a source, guests can anticipate “festive décor, twinkling lights and holiday charm.”
The former news anchor and Emmy Award-winning journalist was on The Today Show on November 20. Speaking of wedding planning, Sanchez said, “I have to say, I do have a Pinterest — I’m just like every other bride, so I do have a Pinterest board.”
Bezos previously married MacKenzie Scott for 25 years, while Sanchez was with her then-husband Patrick Whitesell.
