It’s Bengaluru again! The city never fails to captivate the audience with the strange, unexpected and hilarious incidents that happen in the city over and over again. The Silicon Valley of India is home to several Tech workers or students who live in rented apartments or PGs due to their jobs or education. Recently, a heartwarming yet fun gesture by a Bengaluru-based Techie captured social media users’ attention after he made a CV for his house cook.
What happened was an X user posted a request on the micro-blogging platform, asking for recommendations for a cook in the HSR area who could prepare simple and homely dishes.
Replying to this, another X user shared an unexpected answer. He uploaded his cook Ritu’s CV and requested the former to consider her for the position, seemingly applying for a corporate job. Sharing the resume, the user wrote, “You should definitely consider Ritu Didi HSR’s MasterChef. She’s been amazing at her job—her simple, homely meals are the best! I even made a resume for her because she deserves the spotlight.”
The objective of the quirky CV read, “Bas ek hi goal hai, Aapko roz ghar jaisa khana milta rahe. To bring comfort and flavour to every meal by preparing simple, homely food that feels like it’s straight from your kitchen.” The user also mentioned some of her signature dishes from both north and south Indian cuisines.

Her skills included “cooking food like a pro” from Rajma chawal to Rasam Rice and other items. There were additional remarks about her experience with gas and induction cooking — “Perfect for any kitchen setup,” the CV read. The CV also mentioned the househelp’s achievements and the language spoken for better communication.
As soon as the post was shared online, it captured people’s attention prompting several reactions from them. A user commented, “Appreciate your efforts in this.” Another said, “That’s so cute and creative!! Can we design a smaller version of this? like a business card which you (and she) can give to others?” A comment read, “Peak Bengaluru resume.”
